Tennis Player Novak Djokovic defeated Milos Raonic on Tuesday in ATP finals to qualify for the semifinals round. Milos Raonic lost the match by 7-6 (6), 7-6 (5) score in the first round.
In the final round, Djokovic beat the opponent player by 8-0.
Djokovic is ranked No. 2 player after Andy Murray by Association of Tennis Professionals. On Wednesday, Murray will play his second match against Kei Nishikori.
In the second match at O2 Arena, Novak Djokovic faced difficulties but in the final rounds he won the match easily.
“It really could have gone either way,” said Djokovic. He added,”I was down very early in both tiebreaks tonight. But I just managed to stay committed and put pressure on his second serves.”
In the first set of the match, Novak Djokovic saved three break points while in the second set he took a break twice.
“I gave myself some chances there. He played well in most of those chances,” said Raonic. “Sometimes us tennis players, we struggle to forget. But that’s the number one thing I’ve got to do right now.” He added.
On Sunday, Djokovic defeated Thiem in the first set while in the second set of the match Thiem lost the game against Novak by 6-0.
“I tried to avoid the mistake I did in the first match, to drop a little bit. Didn’t really happen that good,” Thiem said. “But I was trying to stay tough in the third set.
