BJP leader Pushkar Singh Dhami will take oath as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand at Raj Bhavan in Dehradun today. He will be the 11th Chief Minister of the state. Earlier, Mr. Dhami was elected as the leader of BJP legislature party in Dehradun on Saturday evening.
After the legislative party meeting, Mr Dhami called upon Governor Baby Rani Maurya to stake claim to form the new government.
Mr. Dhami said, he will deal with the challenges lying ahead with everyone’s cooperation. He said, they will work together for people’s welfare and will continue the development programme started by BJP Government.The change of guard came a day after Tirat Singh Rawat resigned from the post.
Born on 16th September 1975 in Pithoragarh district, Pushkar Singh Dhami is a two-time BJP MLA from Khatima Constituency in the Kumaon region of the hill state. He also worked with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
