Instagram to get three new features soon to create stories: Boomerang, Mentions and Links

Online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing, and social networking service Instagram has come up with three new feature for their users.

Users can add URL links to their Stories, add mentions ‘@name’ in a friend’s story and add a Boomerang to their photos without applying on a Boomerang app. Boomerangs are short video clips that user can create if they want to make a video.

To start with, Add URL links to your stories within a single click you will navigate to the web page that has been linked. Users will find ‘See More’ links at the bottom of the stories, which will allow verified accounts to add links.

“See More” button will block all the ugly links and will permit one click link access to them. The reports revealed that Instagram is currently testing the new feature with verified accounts

The second feature will allow the user to tag a friend in a story using @. So, you take a picture or video for a story add text and tag a friend using @name. “You’ll receive a notification in Direct when you’re mentioned in someone else’s story. Just tap the preview to go straight to the story for as long as it’s live. If someone you don’t follow mentions you, you’ll see the notification in your message requests,” Instagram reported.

While, the third feature will take you to Boomerang directly . User can open stories camera from their feed and click on the record button that will allow them to select Boomerang mode. Tap on the record, the small video of your photos will get created. Later, users can share it to their stories.
