New Delhi: Golfer Aditi Ashok is all set to represent India at the 10th edition of the Hero women’s Indian Open matches that will begin at DLF Golf and Country in Gurgaon from Friday.
During the matches, she will play along with women players Amandeep Drall and Vani Kapoor in the field. The league has been co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the Women’s Golf Association of India.
Currently, Aditi is on the third position on Ladies European Tour after she showcased impressive matches at the Rio Olympic Games.
“My form has been very good coming into the tournament,” she said on the day. “I have prepared well this time around. I have also had a few top 10 finishes and I feel that I have improved as a player since the beginning of the year. Hopefully, I will do well at my home event.”
Aditi is as of now third on the LET new kid on the block standings after a progression of main 120 completions and a noteworthy keep running at the Rio Olympic Games. Emily Pedersen has returned to guard her title alongside world no. 40 and two-time significant victor Brittany Lincicome, LET pioneer Beth Allen, LET no. 5 Isabelle Boineau and Anne van Dam, champ of the late Xiamen International Open.
On Wednesday, Emily said, “It feels great to be back. I won my maiden title here last year, so I have lots of good memories here.
“There are few changes on the course, its playing really well. 17th green is definitely bigger, so I am looking forward to the tournament.” She added.
Moreover, Vani Kapoor also finished the match on fifth position at the Hong Kong Ladies Open and second place in the Hero Order of Merit with six victories.
