BEIJING: German automaker Volkswagen is all set to unveil 15 new energy vehicles in China in coming next to three years. This initiative has been taken by the company to safeguard environmental needs.
In the first three quarters of this year, Volkswagen Group has dispatched 2.85 million automobiles in Hong Kong.
“These models will be released in the next three to four years to address the environmental protection needs in Chinese market,” Li Xiaoxin, a public relations manager with Volkswagen Groug China said.
“Digitalisation and environmental needs are the major factors that drive the transfer of automobile industry,” according to Volkswagen CEO Matthias Muller.
By 2025, the company will unveil 30 models of electric cars in the market.
