Film Laxmmi Bomb Gets Legal Notice

Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi Bomb is all set to ditch the traditional theatrical release after Vidya Balan’s Shakuntala Devi and Amitabh Bachchan-Ayushmann Khurrana’s Gulabo Sitabo.
The film is headed to the direct OTT release. But days before the release of Laxmmi Bomb, the makers of the film got legal notice from Shri Rajput Karni Sena, demanding title change.

As per the notice, Laxmmi Bomb, was being considered derogatory and offensive to Goddess Laxmi by the Hindu community, it further claimed that the makers had deliberately used the title Laxmmi Bomb with the sole purpose of lowering the dignity of and to show disrespect towards the goddess. It added that the name sends out a wrong message to the society at large towards the ideology, customs, gods and goddesses of Hindu religion.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Instagram. He shared, “NEW DEVELOPMENT… #LaxmmiBomb title changed… New title: #Laxmii… Premieres 9 Nov 2020 on #DisneyPlusHotstarVIP… Stars #AkshayKumar and #KiaraAdvani”

A debutant in Hindi Director Raghava Lawrence Upcoming Movie ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ was to hit the Box Office on 22nd May 2020 on the occasion of Eid, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The film will stream worldwide on Disney+Hotstar on November 9, 2020. This is a comedy-horror film. The film deals with a ghost seeking vengeance for being wronged and haunts everyone who is staying in the house.
