Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the development of West Bengal in the next five years will determine the development of the next 25 years, as the country reaches its 100th year of Independence in 2047. Setting the tone for BJP’s political campaign in the state for the ensuing Assembly Elections from the rally held at the historic Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata today, Mr Modi said that this time, people will be voting not only to choose the government but to take the state to the new height of development.
He said that the people of Bengal want Asol Poriborton which is not only the change of government but ensures a condition where youth will get education and employment, trade and business will flourish and where people of every section of the society will get the same opportunity for development.
Taking a dig at TMC leader Mamata Banerjee, Mr Modi said that the people of the state relied on her but she and her party broke their trust. Countering Mamata Banerjee’s campaign slogan, the senior BJP leader said that Mithun Chakraborty is also Banglar Ghorer Chhele, own boy from Bengal. Mr Modi said that in this election, TMC, Congress and the Left parties are at one side and on the other side, there are the people of Bengal who want change. He also criticised the Left parties for holding the hands of Congress.
PM Modi also assured to do a lot of things when they form government in West Bengal. Film Star Mithun Chakraborty joined the BJP today.
