China Super Series: It was important for me to win a Super Series title, says PV Sindhu

Silver Medallist PV Sindhu wins China Super Series premier title against China’s Sun Yu on Sunday. After winning the match on Sunday she said, “She was left speechless with emotions as she has finally realised a long-time dream.”

In the three sets the score was noticed21-11, 17-21, 21-11 and PV Sindhu became the second woman to clinch China Super Premier Title.

“It has been a dream for a long time to win a super course of action. After the Olympics, everyone was asking me whats next? It was fundamental for me to get a super course of action title. Life changed a significant measure after the Olympics. People thought I will set aside a long chance to get back. However, I locked in,” Sindhu said.

“This is my first super title and I am very energetic, I have no words to express. Last time I played in Denmark,” she included.

When asked her about the match, Sindhu said, “I played well. It is an extraordinary day for me. I just thought I can put forth a valiant effort, since I rehearsed hard. I was very sure. From the first round it was extreme.”

“The initial game was simple. I am following Saina for more than two years, she is additionally tall like me and we both are attacking players. I lost the second match and in the third I began well and from 11-7, I kept up the lead.”

Earlier, in 2014 Saina Nehwal wins the match and became the first Indian woman to clinch the China Open Super Series title.

“I did what Saina did in 2014 and I am very happy.” She said.
