Australia Have Lost ‘Fear Factor’, says West Indies Player Brian Lara

West Indies Player Brian Lara alleged on Wednesday that Australian cricketers have lost their “fear factor”.

Lara stepped into the cricket field in year 1980 from then he started showing brilliant performance.  Brian says, he sees some similarities in the trajectory of Steve Smith’s Australia.

He made this statement after Australian Team lost the fifth straight Test match innings against South Africa in Hobart on Tuesday.

“The fear factor is no longer there and a similar thing happened to the West Indies 25 years ago,” Lara said.

“When Australia beat us at home in 1995, no one feared us anymore and that’s going to be the situation with Australia. Especially if they are not travelling well.” He added.

Brian Lara has won around 11 test matches till now starting from 1980. According to world rankings, West Indies team stands on the eight position after Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

“The morale of the team was pretty low when we started to lose,” said Lara.

“Everything must stay as harmonious as possible… You can dig a bigger hole for yourself if you are not unified and you start worrying about other things that may not even be happening. It could become a downward spiral.” He added.
