Alcatel Idol 4 smartphone to launch at MWC 2016 event

Chinese Company Alcatel is all set to launch Idol 4 and Idol 4s smartphone in India at its pre-MWC 2016 event. The company has begun sending out the invitations of the Idol 4 smartphone to their customers in India on Thursday.

“The uniquely designed Idol 4 smartphones take everything up a notch with a new Boom Key and an augmented multimedia experience,” Alcatel said.

Talking about the specifications of the phone, It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, and features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LTPS display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage, which is expandable (up to 512GB) via microSD card.

Idol features 13-megapixel rear camera with touch focus and dual-LED flash. On the camera front, it has a 8-megapixel shooter, tagged with flash.

It weighs 135 grams and boasts 2610mAh battery. It supports Quick Charge version 2.0. The price of the smartphone is EUR 279 (roughly Rs. 20,100).
